The choice this month was P G Wodehouse 'The Code of the Woosters'.  This gave the opportunity to discuss more widely the style and wit of Wodehouse and the reverence in which he was held by critics last century. On reflection, perhaps some of that reverence may have waned and his sunlit world of innocence now somewhat dimmed and outdated. Opinions varied and this led on to a discussion of humour generally and the way some of it endures.
